SILOTANK

company. In 1992 the company produced
tanks & silos using Centrifugal
Moulding Process and today these
products are still operating with
little or no maintenance. The limitation
in mould diameters for the Centrifugal
Moulding machine encouraged the
company to invest in 3 axis helical
filament winding technology and
a range of mandrels from 1.00 metre
diameter up to 4.50 metre diameter.
In 1994 SILOTANK recruited key personnel,
skilled in thermoplastic fabrication
and invested in a thermoplastic
Butt welding machine allowing the
company to fabricate large diameter
and large capacity thermoplastic
tanks. This Butt welding machine
was also used to produce dual laminate
liners providing weld quality benefits
to Dual Laminate fabrication which
allowed Silotank to cater for aggressive
chemicals and environments. Through
the years Silotank has gained the
reputation as having the 'in-house'
skills to design and fabricate complex
designs tanks, scrubbers etc at
large diameters.
